Hosted by RYP Canada • In Partnership with the Centre for Newcomers
Alberta is home to one of the fastest-growing multicultural youth populations in Canada — yet these young leaders rarely have shared spaces to build understanding, exchange ideas, and shape solutions together.
The Unity in Diversity Forum 2026 brings about these changes.
This youth-led gathering brings together youth, parents, educators, and community partners across the African Diaspora, Caribbean, Asian diaspora, Middle Eastern, Latine, Eastern European, and Indigenous communities.
This is where we:
- Break barriers between communities
- Build leadership across cultures
- Tackle shared challenges
- Celebrate the next generation of innovators, creatives, and changemakers
- Strengthen belonging and unity across Alberta
Because a stronger future for Alberta is only possible when all voices are at the table.
What to Expect
A full day of connection, collaboration, and youth leadership:
- Youth leadership workshops
- Parent & Guardian Panel – Building Unity
- Sharing circles with university & community leaders
- Community-led panel discussions
- Cultural performance
- Networking across communities
- Youth–parent collaboration sessions
